Statement of faith by Angus Buchan and his cult church

Standard

We believe…

  • The Bible to be the inspired, the infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • In the Eternal Triune God.
  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • That for the salvation of the lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • In the creation, test and fall of man, as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness apart from God.
  • In the Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, very God and very Man.
  • In the Spiritual Unity of Believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

  1. I’m not a major fan of Buchan, but what exactly is cultic about that statement of faith? Although very brief, it seems like classic evangelical Christianity to me.

  2. Certainly the bible needs to be inspired – who would otherwise believe all the crap in it?

An eternal triune god makes sense – at least it broke the monotomy of monotheism and kinda returned to the time of moses when there were many gods.

Only believers would or could believe in the idea of a rotting corpse rising and going to ‘the father’…..

Yeh a god that loves the incompetent and gullible sinners…the immoral, the thieves the murderers….without them god would be out of a job….

Yeh the holy spirit ministers through the tongue of a potato farmer…..she couldnt use someone with a brain….it just wont work.

yeh man cant save himself cause his brain remains sold to the ghostsellers.

very god and very man…. 🙂 yah well no fine as Rawbone Malone would say…..

the spiritual unity of believers…. ahem…. da spirit aint.

  3. Parables to a fool,
    Proverbs 26:1-12
    King James Version (KJV)

26 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.

2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool’s back.

4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

6 He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage.

7 The legs of the lame are not equal: so is a parable in the mouth of fools.

8 As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.

9 As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouths of fools.

10 The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.

11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.

12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

    • The mind boggles when considering people like Alien actually believes this crap written by uneducated goat herders. I suppose ignorance is indeed a choice.

      • Hallo Malherbe, welkom terug.

Jy is reg: “Ignorance is a choice”.

        • Hallo Savage. So eenvoudig soos dit.
